Three years ago HHOA Board approved the installation of Stone RipRap at Park A on Honeymoon Dr., that worked so well that it was decided to install the stone RipRap at Parks M & N. The shores at these two parks were getting badly eroded from the waves washing away the soil causing a 2-3 ft drop to get to the water.
The process started last February of 2021 by applying with EGLE, the environmental group for the State of Michigan. It took about 9 months of sending in information, correcting the application etc. before EGLE finally approved the application the first part of October.
On Thursday October 21, with the help of Koutz Gravel and equipment, and three volunteers, Rascal Calcutt, Kim Schoenemen and Stuart Hazle they were able to install the stone in about 4 hours.
HHOA Board is always working to improve our Association and the parks in the Subdivision so that all may enjoy living in this community.
Take time to take a look at the new Seawalls, they are a definite improvement to the parks shoreline.
