HHOA Park Docks

The docks at 5 of our parks were installed this last Saturday on April 18. It was one of the most interesting installs in the last 10 years. What made it interesting was all the extra rain that we have received in Michigan, the lake was 12-14 inches higher than the usual springtime in April. This made it difficult to adjust some of the supports on the docks, we will have to wait for the lake to go down some or find another way to get the posts down and adjusted.
We have received applications for dock space, and we still have some openings in Park B and C1 and Park N. At Park B we are in the process of buying a new dock to replace the old wooden one because it was unsafe.
Remember you must have your dues paid to receive a dock permit. This process of sending in applications is to make sure we don't have overcrowding at the docks, and to know who is docking there if there is ever a problem with a boat. We have had boats get loose or some other problem and we can then call the owner with what had happened.
We are looking forward to a fun time on the water this summer.
