6. Committee Reports
• Blight: Progress to be reviewed during Community Cleanup. Residents may
report blight to Cato Township’s Dave Kelsey.
• Roads: Funding from the State to Counties is delayed for another year.
Lakeshore Dr. near Ford Lincoln Park remains a top priority. Concerns regarding
Birch Rd. were noted and will be addressed with Cato Township.
• Lights: $13,052 is available for light/pole repairs or additions. These funds are
held in an HHOA account managed through the township.
• Docks: Docks are to be put in Saturday, April 18th at 10 AM, we will start at Park C. Reminders:
Dock stickers require an application and paid dues; priority is based on
assistance with "in/out" days, dues status, and members that have a residence
on their lot. Contact Stuart Hazle for permits.
• Parks: Community Clean-up is scheduled for Saturday after Docks. The board
will identify needed signage and changes. Hot dogs, Chips, Cookies and Water
will be served at the HHOA Club House at 12:30 PM with Community Clean-up
starting at 1:30 PM.
• Website: Thanks to Stuart Hazel for management; no issues reported.
7. Old Business
• Signage: Park signage needs to be updated. Unauthorized parking at HOA
docks was an issue at the end of last season. The board is working on new
wording and will finalize a list of needed fixes during the Community Clean-up.
• Clubhouse: Ceiling tiles have been replaced and the clubhouse cleaned, though
further structural review is needed.
• Yard Waste: Ben Gonzalez and Rascal Calcutt surveyed several parks to
determine whether any could serve as viable yard-waste site for members. Most
locations would require significant tree clearing and/or excavation due to dense
woods and steep terrain.
8. New Business
• Spring Events: Discussion of a potential May event for Community Clean-up.
• Adopt-a-Park Program: A test run is planned. Ben and Rascal will approach
current members that are already taking care of an adjacent park to their
residence. Concerns were noted regarding budget deficits and the need for
continued monitoring by the Board. Contracts will need to be performance-based
in exchange for a reduction in following years' dues.
• Maintenance Bids: Two bids received. The deadline is extended to May 1st to
ensure proper insurance/LLC coverage is verified to mitigate lawsuit risks.
• Tractor Fuel Stipend: Discussion regarding Perry Martin’s assistance with the
tractor for dock movement.
• Motion: Judy Hazle motioned to approve a $100 gas stipend for Perry
Martin; Ben Gonzalez seconded.
• Result: Approved; no member opposition.
• Park B Dock: One estimate for a replacement dock was received for $3,651.70.
A conference call will be scheduled to finalize the purchase.
• Recreation: Amanda Evanzo discussed Basketball/Pickleball courts. A re-survey
is needed to locate pins on northside of park (potential vendor: Tingley’s of
Stanton). Discussion included privacy fencing and nets in the future to reduce
loss of pickle balls.
9. Adjournment
• Motion: Ben Gonzalez motioned to adjourn; Tyler Evanzo seconded.
• Result: Motion approved. Meeting dismissed.
